Thank you HBO

DVR need to be set. HBO has a huge premiere night the same night and time as the Golden Globes!

First at 9pm, The series premiere of True Detective staring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. A gritty drama about two detectives who have become entangled during their 17-year search for a serial killer in Louisiana. The show starts in 2012 with Detective Hart (Harrelson) and Detective Cohle (McConaughey) being interviewed about the 1995 murder of a local girl (Dora Lang) in which they were chosen to investigate. The relationship between Matthew and Woody is irresitable, reviting and magical . Creator, Nic Pizzolatto(The Killing), and award winning author, is genius and real. Pizzolatto is personally involved in the directing and development and makes sure that his image comes to life, keeping you guessing, jumping, and shocked in every scene. With Cary Funkunaga (Jane Eyre) directing the entire season with film, not digitally, the realness of this thriller is intensified and invites viewers on the hunt. I give this show 5/5 stars. There is no doubt, we will be seeing True Detective at the 72nd Golden Globes.

A HBO fan favorite that we will be seeing at this Sundays Golden Globes is returning at 10pm and 10:30pm for a back to back season 3 premiere, Girls, creator/director/producer/actor,  Lena Dunham has out DUN herself in this upcoming season (see what I did there, sorry for the cheesiness.). With a lot happening at the end of season 2 us fans NEED season 3. Where is Jessa? Will Ray and Sosh make it? Is Adam really going to be there for Hannah no matter what? How is Hannahs' OCD? Marnie and Charlie? (who will not be returning in season 3, due to "creative differences"). In case you are not familiar will Girls, which I am sure is a sin. I'll pray for you, let me give you a quick run down and then a recap.

Girls is a hilarious witty comedy about a group of friends in their 20s living in Brooklyn. There is sex, drugs, career spats, immaturity, maturity, sex, sex, mesh crop tops and an awkward Stronger by Kanye cover... you know what just watch the show. You are only behind 2 seasons, which is 20 episodes at 30 minutes a piece (10 hours, you can do that by tomorrow night) If you are HBO subscriber with your cable company go to HBOgo to catch up on Girls!

I think I covered the important stuff... Needless to say I am excited for Season 3, I dont know much about season 3, but what I have put together from watching interviews and twitter (a reliable sourc) is that
Hannah is in a good place, Ray owns a coffee/pizza shop, Shoshanna is having wreck less sex, Adam and Hannah are in love, Marnie is an emotional mess because Charlie dumped her. Jessa reappears and Elijah is back!
I will actively be blogging about Girls through out the season!
