The 56th Grammy's

If you couldn't tell by my Golden Globe coverage, I love award shows! But to be honest, The Grammy's are my least favorite. It is just a glorified radio popularity contest, or at least it is now. Where are the days that Madonna, Prince, Cheer and Queen graced the stage with their talents and true award winning music. Granted, I know their times have come and gone and some have been gone from this world for many years (Rest in a Bohemian Paradise Freddie Mercury).
Still over the past decade I feel as though the "artist" are becoming more and more controversial, and cocky -who majority do not write their own songs, or collab with 12 people to write a song with a chorus repeated 12 times-. Since the fans love the genre the artist sing, it is nearly impossible for the musicians to change up their style, unless it becomes more of a hardcore sound. Which is ironic because genres are becoming more and more blurred. Have you ever gone on Itunes are noticed how "I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift is in country... uh, okay.
So lucky for you I will not be blogging about the grammy's as much as i did for the Globes. I will post the nominee list  on the Grammy Page, in the left hand column, and of course the winners and maybe some highlights afterwards.
With returning Host LL Cool J, and Performances by Imagin Dragons, Pink & Nate Ruess from FUN,  Kendrick Lammar, and a special "GRAMMY Moment" featuring two-time GRAMMY winner Merle Haggard, three-time GRAMMY winner and 2014 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Kris Kristofferson, seven-time GRAMMY winner Willie Nelson, and current nominee Blake Shelton. This years Grammy's should be great, and filled with eye rolls from those who lose, and shocking wins.

So check out the nominees here
